"NAHUALES SAGRADOS"

The Friends of the Museum enjoyed a guided visit led by Oaxacan artist Filogonio Naxín through his temporary exhibition "Nahuales Sagrados"

Filogonio Naxín Velasco is recognized as one of the leading representatives of Mazatec surrealism. Through his work, he has dedicated himself to promoting the Mazatec language and culture, while also supporting children in vulnerable situations by helping them gain access to art.

During the visit, Filogonio personally guided our Friends through the exhibition, sharing insights into his creative process and the cultural symbolism behind "Nahuales Sagrados”.
