Guided visit
"Salas Etnográficas"
The Friends of the Museum took part in a guided tour of the Ethnographic Halls, followed by a reception in the Gastronomic Hall.
The Friends of the Museum took part in a guided tour of the recently renovated Ethnography Galleries, located on the second floor of the National Museum of Anthropology.
Organized around five thematic pillars—Territories, Food Culture, Identities, Festivities, and Textiles—these galleries explore five hundred years of social and cultural history that have shaped Mexico’s living heritage. The renewed curatorial approach seeks to give greater visibility to Indigenous and Afro-Mexican communities across the country, whose voices are now, for the first time, fully integrated into the museum’s narrative.
Following the tour, the group gathered at the museum’s restaurant, the Sala Gastronómica, for a small reception where they shared reflections on what they had learned during the visit.
